- How do I set it up?
- Once, in Claude on the web or the desktop app, about 8 minutes. 1. Download the skill zip. 2. Open Settings, then Capabilities, and turn on Code execution and file creation. 3. Open Customize, then Skills. Choose +, then Create skill, then Upload a skill, and pick the zip. 4. Open Customize, then Connectors, and connect Google Drive to read your sheet, and Google Sheets too if it is in your Connectors list. Then ask it to chase your invoices and name the sheet, or attach an export or paste the rows. The first time, add: dry run. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner turns these on first.
- Can I use it on my phone?
- Yes, once it is set up on the web or the desktop app. Use the skill from the Claude phone app where your plan has skills on the phone. If it does not pick up the skill, make a Claude Project on the web with SKILL.md as its project instructions and references/reminder-ladder.md in its project knowledge, then attach an export or paste your rows in that project from your phone. We have not tested the phone path yet.
- Can I use it in ChatGPT?
- You can try it as a Project; we have not tested it there. On the ChatGPT website, unzip the skill, choose New project, open Project settings from the project menu and paste SKILL.md into the instructions. Add references/reminder-ladder.md to the project. Then paste your invoice rows into a chat in that project, adding "dry run" the first time. If ChatGPT offers to send a draft, don't; copy it and send it yourself.
- What does it change in my sheet?
- Nothing on the first run, which is a dry run. After that it fills two columns, Days late and Next step, only when you say yes and only with Claude's Google Sheets connector (beta) on a computer (Claude on the web in Chrome, or Claude Desktop with its built-in browser on). Anywhere else it gives you the two columns to paste. It touches nothing else, and asks before adding a missing column.
- Does it send the reminders?
- No. It drafts them in the chat for you to check, copy into your email and send yourself. It never asks to send. If Claude ever asks you to approve sending an email, say no.
- How does it decide what to send?
- By days late. A friendly nudge at 7 days, a firmer second reminder at 14, and a final reminder from 21 that says what happens next. You can change the days in the skill.
- Will it threaten clients?
- No. Every reminder stays polite and states facts. It never mentions legal action unless you write that in yourself.
