Terms of service

Last updated

These terms cover your use of Automation Club at automationclub.ai ("Automation Club", "we", "us"). By creating an account or buying a membership you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What Automation Club is

Automation Club is a curated library of AI systems and parts: prompts, skills, templates, playbooks, boilerplates and agent setups. You copy or download them and use them in AI tools you already have. We do not run those tools for you.

Anyone can browse the library and see each item's preview and example output. Using an item (copying, opening it in a chat tool or downloading it) needs a free account. Premium items need a membership.

2. Your account

  • You sign up with your email address. To sign in, we email you a 6-digit code (or a sign-in link) that you enter on the site. Keep access to that inbox secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
  • An account is for one person. Do not share your account or your sign-in codes.
  • When you sign up you can tick a box to get our newsletter. It is unticked unless you choose it, and you can unsubscribe at any time from any newsletter email.
  • To change the email address on your account, email hello@automationclub.ai from your current address.
  • You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing hello@automationclub.ai. Deleting it cancels a yearly membership straight away with no refund and ends a lifetime membership. Requests and reviews you posted may stay on the site without your name or account attached.

3. Free account

A free account gives you the free items, saves and collections, likes and ratings, achievements, recommendations based on what you tell us about yourself, and the requests board. We may change what the free account includes.

4. Membership and payment

Membership unlocks every premium item and the business profile that pre-fills prompts. There are two plans:

  • Yearly: $199 per year. It renews automatically each year at the same price until you cancel, unless we tell you about a change first (see below). We email you before each renewal.
  • Lifetime: $499 once, at the founding price. There are no renewals. See section 6 for what "lifetime" means.

Prices are in US dollars. Taxes may be added where the law requires. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

We may change the yearly price for future renewals. If we do, we will email you before your next renewal so you can cancel first. We may stop offering the lifetime plan, or change its price for new buyers, at any time. That never affects a lifetime membership you already bought.

If you move from yearly to lifetime, you pay the full lifetime price and your yearly plan ends straight away. There is no refund for the unused part of the year.

If a renewal payment fails, we or Stripe will let you know. Your access continues until the end of the year you have paid for, and resumes once the payment goes through.

5. Cancelling and refunds

  • Cancel anytime. You can cancel a yearly membership at any time from your billing page. You keep full access until the end of the year you have paid for, and you will not be charged again.
  • No refunds. Membership gives you immediate access to the whole premium library, including downloads. Because of that, payments are not refundable, including for unused time, except as section 6 says or where the law where you live requires a refund.
  • If you live in the EU, the UK or another place with a cooling-off period for digital content: when you buy, you ask us to give you access straight away, and you accept that your right to cancel within 14 days ends once access starts.

If you think you were charged by mistake, email hello@automationclub.ai and we will look into it.

6. What "lifetime" means

Lifetime membership gives you membership access for as long as Automation Club operates. It is tied to the life of the club, not to your life or anyone else's.

If we ever decide to close Automation Club, we will:

  • email every member at least 90 days before the site closes;
  • keep the library open for that whole period so you can copy or download every item your plan includes, without the usual limits on bulk downloading in section 9; and
  • let you keep using everything you copied or downloaded under the licence in section 7, after the site closes.

If the club closes, yearly members get a refund for the unused part of the year they have paid for.

7. Your licence to use the content

The items in the library, including prompts, skills, templates, playbooks, boilerplates, agent setups, example outputs, text and files, belong to Automation Club, apart from any third-party parts that come with their own licence, which that licence covers. When you have access to an item, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it:

  • for your own personal use; and
  • inside your own business, including to produce work for your own clients.

You may adapt items for those uses. For a client, that includes installing an adapted item, such as a boilerplate or agent setup, in the client's own tools for that client's own use. You may not:

  • sell, resell, share, publish, sublicense or give away the items, or substantial parts of them, whether as they are or modified;
  • include them in a product, course, template pack, library, marketplace listing or anything else offered to other people;
  • share your account or downloaded files with people outside your own use; or
  • use the items to build a competing library or service.

If your membership ends, you lose access to premium items on the site. You may keep using copies of items you copied or downloaded while you had access, under this same licence.

8. What you make with the items

The outputs you create with the items in your own AI tools are yours. We make no claim to them. AI tools can produce wrong, incomplete or unsuitable results, so check anything you rely on before you use it.

9. Ground rules

Please do not:

  • scrape the site, bulk download items or use automated tools to access content;
  • try to get around sign-in, membership checks or rate limits;
  • interfere with the site or other people's use of it;
  • use the site for anything unlawful, harmful or deceptive; or
  • post anything on the requests board, in ratings or anywhere else on the site that is unlawful, abusive, infringing or spam.

When you post a request, rating or other idea, you let us use it to improve the club and show it on the site, including by building an item from it, without owing you anything for it.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close a paid account for a serious breach, no refund is due.

10. Other companies' tools

Items work in AI tools made by other companies, such as Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini. Those tools are run under their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control. When you open an item in one of them, the prompt text is sent to that tool. Check a tool's terms before you put confidential information into it.

Automation Club is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the companies whose names and logos appear on the site. Their names and logos belong to them and appear only to show which tools an item works with.

11. Not financial advice

Some items cover trading and investing. They are for education, research and keeping a trading journal. They are not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and they are not a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Charts and figures in examples are example data, not market prices. Trading and investing carry risk, including the loss of your money. You are responsible for your own decisions; speak to a licensed adviser before you act.

No other item is professional advice either. Items about legal, tax, health or similar topics are general information only.

12. Changes to the library

We test every item before we publish it, and we keep the library curated. That means we may update, replace or retire items. We may also change, add or remove features of the site.

13. No guarantees

We work hard to make every item useful, but the site and its items are provided "as is". AI tools change often, so an item that works today may need an update tomorrow. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that any item will produce a particular result or that the site will always be available or free of errors.

14. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities. Our total liability to you for any claim about Automation Club is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you have not paid us anything.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer where you live.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect. If you keep using Automation Club after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel and stop using the site.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the business that runs Automation Club is registered. This does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the place where you live.
